Nigerian troops kill 5 terrorists, rescue 7 kidnapped victims

Sept. 7, 2020- The Nigerian Army troops of operation Lafiya Dole killed five Boko Haram/ ISWAP terrorist after raiding a terrorists’ camp in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno on Sunday.
Maj- Gen. John Enenche, Coordinator of the Defence Headquarters media operations disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.
Enenche said the troops also rescued seven kidnapped victims from the terrorists’ camp, while other terrorists escaped with several gun shots wounds.
He said the Nigerian Army troops were supported by the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE in the operation.
According to Enenche, the Nigerian Army with this operation has recorded another massive achievement against Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in the North-East region.
“Troops also cleared 9 identified isolated BHT/ISWAP structures and farmlands in the area
“Troops successfully rescued 7 kidnapped victims comprising 2 females and 5 children.
“Currently the gallant troops have dominated the area with aggressive patrols,” Enenche stated.
Enenche said in continuation of its aggressive clearance to rid the zone of terrorists, the troops acting on a credible intelligence gathered, stormed the camp of Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists in Hamdaga Makaranta area in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
