French, Nigerien military launch manhunt for killers of aid workers

August 10, 2020 - Military operatives from France and Niger are now on the trail of gunmen who killed 6 French Aid workers and two other Nigerien in a wildlife park close to the nation’s capital, Niamey.
Although no one has claimed responsibility for the attack, French military source said that military operations were already ongoing to hunt down the killers.
The unidentified gunmen, who rode on motorbikes, attacked the group who worked for a French humanitarian organization, ACTED while they were on tour of a wildlife giraffe park.
France has warned people against travelling to parts of Niger where insurgents including Boko Haram operate.
French President Emmanuel Macron in his comment on twitter said: “Our determination to combat armed terrorist groups is resolute.”
